EXPECTED TEAM LINE UP FOR MAN UTD

Manchester United will play their second game of the restarted Premier League on Wednesday night when Sheffield United travel to Old Trafford.

Few would have predicted this particular fixture to be a Champions League six-pointer at this stage of the season when the season began. But that is the nature of the game given Sheffield United’s impressive first year back in the top flight. They have exceeded all expectations including their own, which was likely to keep themselves in the league. But here we are, they are on course to get at least an European finish at the end of the season.

For the first time in a long while, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has an almost fully fit squad at his disposal, although he must be careful as other clubs have seen lots of players picking up knocks since return to regular football. The former Cardiff and Molde manager will have to make some rotations within his squad to manage stress and reduce the risk of injuries.

We take a look at the Man Utd team that should start the game against the Blades.

Goalkeeper

David DeGea is still the undisputed number one at Old Trafford. His horror shows of late might have seen some section of fans and media question his status with the club, but his manager has come out in the defense of the player and labelled him the best shot stopper in the world. Not many will agree with that anyway.

Defenders

Aaron Wan Bissaka, Eric Bailly, Harry Maguire and Brandon Williams. Not a whole lot of changes is expected in this position. Brandon Williams should come in place for Luke Shaw in the left back position.

Midfielders

Nemanja Matic, Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandez. Matic started on the bench against Spurs last match. He is expected to start. While Pogba who was instrumental against Spurs is expected to start ahead of McTominay.

Strikers

Jude Ighalo, Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood.
