HUDSON KEEPS THE FAITH

The Cardiff city captain Mark Hudson has said that he will not be changing his game as a result of being extremely close to suspension following the activation of cards so far this campaign. Hudson has already received for yellow cards this season. Normally, receiving five yellow cards through the season will result in a suspension. Due to the fact that Cardiff city are starting to find form at just the right stage in the season, it has been rumoured that the manager will be asking Hudson to maintain his discipline in order to have him for the big matches.

The captain of the club, though, has rejected the idea of limiting himself in order to not pick another yellow card. Cardiff city managed a very impressive 4-0 win over Burnley during the weekend. After the match, the captain said that his style of play means that it will be very difficult for him to pull out of challenges. Hence, there is always the risk of getting booked for a rash challenge. It Cardiff city are currently top of the Championship table with 28 points on the board. The lead Leicester City, who are their closest challengers, by three points having played 13 matches apiece.

“If the fifth booking comes then we have to deal with that, but it’s no good working too hard to avoid it. We have played well at home and there was some top-quality flowing football against Burnley. It was an all-round team display with everybody playing their part. Kim came into the team, was calm in possession and kept things moving. He is learning English well and showed he was ready for what was an outstanding debut,” said Hudson after the Burnley match. Cardiff will be playing against the recently relegated club Bolton Wanderers next weekend.
