Paul Trollope is willing to offload most of his players

The recently appointed head coach of Cardiff City, Paul Trollope has revealed details concerning his current squad as the English manager stated that every player has his price and that if the right offer comes along it could see just about any of his performers leaving the team.

Paul Trollope took over the managerial role of Cardiff City at the end of the 2015-16 English League Championship season when Russell Slade opted to take up the role of head of football in the club.

Russell Slade resigned from that role around 1 month later but Paul Trollope has remained in his managerial position.

Things have not kicked off the way that Paul Trollope or his players or the fans of the club would have wanted as Cardiff City have lost 2 matches and drawn 1 out of their 3 opening games of the 2016-17 English League Championship season which kicked off a few weeks ago.

Even though the new season has already initiated in full force, the summer transfer window is still open and this gives managers more time so that they can either sign or release players and Paul Trollope has stated that he is willing to listen to offers for any of his own players as they all have their price.

“We don’t want to lose anyone in the group, but at any club apart from the top ones, every player has their price and you have buy-out clauses. In terms of players going, the Fabio one has been well-documented but nothing has changed on that, it is an ongoing process.

“Obviously there are a few players at the club we are willing to listen to offers for and that won’t change between now and the end of the window. We talk about it as a club, as a head coach I get a very big say in that, but like any club, players have their prices and if clubs reach that price and turn the players’ head, it is very difficult. If players have high offers, obviously you listen to those offers.” Cardiff City’s Paul Trollope said as he is inclined to sell some of his players in order to create enough funds to sign some of his own summer targets.
